Ismail Makizadeh, the Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the General Department of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan, elaborating on the measures of the Seafarers Affairs Department, stated: "From the beginning of February 2026 until now, despite the third imposed war by the United States, the service provision of the Seafarers Affairs Department to applicants of maritime exams has continued, and maritime exams have been held according to the approved exam calendar of the Organization at the Bandar Abbas Maritime Exam Center and the Bandar Lengeh and West Province Exam Center."

He continued: "According to the reporting system of the Seafarers Affairs System, from the beginning of February 2026 until now, 2,451 people have taken exams at the Bandar Abbas Exam Center and 1,215 people have taken exams at the Bandar Lengeh and West Province Exam Center."

The Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the General Department of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan explained: "Given the prior readiness of the Seafarers Affairs Department and the supervised maritime training centers to hold courses online, the holding of maritime training courses has continued without any disruption since the beginning of last Esfand, and according to the reporting system of the Seafarers Affairs System, 862 maritime training courses have been held."

In this regard, referring to the issuance of 17,767 seafarer certificates during this period, he said: "According to the report of the Seafarers Affairs System, since the beginning of last Esfand until now, 6,932 certificates of seafarer competence and skill, 7,482 certificates of auxiliary skill, and 3,353 seafarer identification documents have been issued."
